Helpfull Tips:
1) Keep your air filters clean!

2) Keep all the air registers open!  Sufficient airflow is critical to cooling and
heating equipment!

3) Keep bushes trimmed around the ouside unit!  Air must be able to
freely pass through the outside coil and discharge away from the unit.

4) Use a digital thermostat. The digital will maintain the home temperature to a
closer tolerance. Mercury switch thermostats can allow the space temperature to vary as
mush as 6 degrees between heating/cooling cycles.

5) Coils must be cleaned every 2-3 years. There are two coil's the evaporator
coil and the condenser coil. If air is unable to pass through the coil's freely mechanical
problem's will develop and increased operating costs will result.

6) Lubricate blower motor's.  Many blower motor's require lubrication and
should be lubricated once every two years.

7) Maintain proper refrigerant charge. This will need to be done by a
professional but needs to be checked periodically to guarantee optimal performance.

8) Shade window's with direct exposure.  Direct sunlight in the summer can
add considerable heat to a home. Use awnings or blinds, White blinds reflect the best.

9) Use compact flourescent lighting.  Flourescent lighting uses less wattage
and generates less heat in the home.

10) Minimize use of bath and kithchen ventilators. Minimize use of bath
ventilator's, kitchen exhaust fan, and the clothes dryer during the hotest/coldest periods
of the day.

11) Keep all your paperwork. Save your system manuals, warranty information,
sales receipt, and maintenance history.
